Recently I came across a tutu tutorial and it got me brainstorming… Here are the results of a photo session with Stella & Clover over the weekend. Third one is my fave:)
Happy Valentines Day from the Miles Family!
Nicole and Danny are getting married next June. We had a wonderful fall day for their engagement session. They brought along their adorable dog Chevy, who was the most well behaved dog I’ve met! We started out atthe W.K. Kellogg Forest and finished up at my Uncle’s Farm with a beautiful 37 Buick and rows and rows of beautiful grape vines ready for the harvest. Nicole & Danny I had an amazing time getting to know you and we can’t wait for your wedding! Here are a few of my favorite images.
A few weeks ago Kelly contacted me about photographing her dog. She and her husband just found out their 5 year old Golden Retriever has cancer. It was my honor to capture the lovable and fun-loving personality of Marley. Dogs make such an impact on their owner’s lives. The hardest thing is how short the time is we have with them. Here are a few of my favorite images.
Each spring the Kalamazoo Humane Society has a Dog Walk. This year I had the privilege of offering dog photography sessions as prizes for those who raised the most for this worthy cause. The grand prize winner was Yvonne. We did a session at her house a few weeks ago with her family and two dogs Luke & Ruca. I had a blast getting to know this family. Yvonne has passion for saving and finding homes for dogs and cats. She volunteers at the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue. Here are a few of my favorite images.
Stella made out like a bandit this Valentines Day – she got a valentine in the mail & a hand knit sweater!
Doesn’t she look like a little Parisian dog? Thanks Aunt Nan!
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing a portrait session for Corryn & her boxer Rosco. Many times owners forget to document their furry friends in their senior years. Rosco may be older, but he still acts like a pup! Here are a few of my favorite images and a slide show of them all. Enjoy!
This summer I had the amazing opportunity to photograph a litter of Vizsla puppies. I have loved this breed for years and hope to get a pup someday. Carl from Just Bird Dog Kennels invited me out for an afternoon of fun! Eight 6 week old pups, full of spunk until about forty-five minutes of play and then nap time! Here is a little information on the Vizsla breed:
“The Vizsla is expressive, gentle, and loving. Keen and trainable to a high degree, they need mental stimulation daily. They need a patient, calm, firm hand. If they do not see you as a strong authority figure they will become stubborn. Reliable with children, loving to play for hours.” -www.dogbreedinfo.com

… and a slideshow of them all. Enjoy!
In July my Uncle was in town from California. He brought the newest addition to his family – Mack the pug. We did a little photo session of Mack, he has a great personality, so sweet! Here are my favorite images and some fun family photos as well. Enjoy!
Duckie the dachshund was the lucky winner of our Dog Walk raffle drawing for a free session. Duckie is a two year old dapple short haired miniature dachshund with a great personality & spunk! She was more than willing to follow me around and was a great model:) Here is a little Dachshund history for you from Pet Web Site:
“Dachshunds were originally bred to be courageous, tough and persistent in order to hunt badgers and also foxes and rabbits. Their small size and short legs enabled them to dig foxes, badgers, and rabbits out of their dens. Dachshunds were originally bred in Germany for hunting badgers and the name, Dachshund, means “Badger Dog”. Dachshunds were originally larger than seen today but were bred to be smaller towards the end of the 19th century.”
“The Dachshund is clever, fearless, lively, persistent and affectionate forming a strong bond with its family.”
I couldn’t agree more! Here are a few of my favorite images from the session and a slideshow of them all. Enjoy!
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Taylor, a beautiful and spunky 2 year old Boston Terrier. I had a great time capturing her personality. Here are a few of my favorite images and a slideshow of the entire session.
Enjoy!
Happy 2nd Birthday Taylor!
Here is the slideshow.
