In July my Uncle was in town from California. He brought the newest addition to his family – Mack the pug. We did a little photo session of Mack, he has a great personality, so sweet! Here are my favorite images and some fun family photos as well. Enjoy!

Duckie the dachshund was the lucky winner of our Dog Walk raffle drawing for a free session.  Duckie is a two year old dapple short haired miniature dachshund with a great personality & spunk! She was more than willing to follow me around and was a great model:)  Here is a little Dachshund history for you from Pet Web Site:

“Dachshunds were originally bred to be courageous, tough and persistent in order to hunt badgers and also foxes and rabbits. Their small size and short legs enabled them to dig foxes, badgers, and rabbits out of their dens. Dachshunds were originally bred in Germany for hunting badgers and the name, Dachshund, means “Badger Dog”. Dachshunds were originally larger than seen today but were bred to be smaller towards the end of the 19th century.”

“The Dachshund is clever, fearless, lively, persistent and affectionate forming a strong bond with its family.”

Melanie & Dan are engaged! What a sweet couple. Young and in love and ready to take on the world. They met through mutual friends at Western, went to a concert together and the relationship began. Dan proposed on December 23rd at the Kalamazoo House Bed and Breakfast after dinner and a carriage ride through downtown. They are getting married on the one year anniversary of their engagement! We had a lovely time getting to know them during their engagement session. They have a fun dog – Sparky who came along for the occasion. Plainwell has a lot to offer, Eesley Mill has tons of architectural character, as well as an old fashioned truck parked out front, railroad tracks, and a great corrugated pole barn across the street! But best of all, Plainwell Ice Cream is a few steps away:) Thanks to Dan’s parents for taking care of Sparky as we finished up our session!

Sadie is 6 months old and such a sweetie. She had a rough time of it as a puppy, but was rescued a few months ago. She now has a great forever home and is showered with love each day.

Happy Valentines Day! Introducing our little valentine Stella. I love dogs. I’ve had Stella since she was a pup, she’ll be six in June. She’s 9 pounds of spunk and adds a lot of fun to our life . The majority of the time when I’m editing she will be asleep on my lap. Dave won her over on our first date with a pocket full of milkbones. She loves blankets, fresh laundry, avacados, and her bone-zies. But her favorite thing is burrowing under the covers and snuggling. She also loves dressing up in one of her many outfits. My first Valentines present to Dave was a framed picture of Stella in her I Love Dave poncho, and me in an I Love Dave shirt.

We have many different nicknames for her, here are a few:
