The weekend was one word – AMAZING!  We had such a great time visiting with everyone, the weather was perfect.  Thanks so much to all who participated.  We raised five thousand dollars in one weekend!!!  God is so faithful.  We meet with our homestudy social worker tomorrow for the 1st time.  Four to six weeks after that our homestudy will be complete and we will decide which agency to apply to for adoption.  We covet your prayers through this journey.  Specifically that we would grow closer as a couple through each step of the adoption process and seek & trust in our Lord and Savior for each decision.

Each family will receive their CD of images 2-3 weeks from now, I will mail them to you.  Here are the raffle winners!

One of my brides reminded me of the importance of taking time to record the love shared in a marriage.  I’m not talking about engagement sessions or weddings.  That day you say “I Do” is just the beginning of a lifelong adventure together.  My parents are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary next month.  Life can get so busy we forget to stop and record the little moments that tell the story of the journey.  Thanks Mom and Dad for being an amazing example to me and for loving me so much!  You are both spunky and fun, thoughtful and hard working.  These photographs will make me smile for many years to come.

Dave and I are going to adopt a baby!  We’ve been brainstorming creative ways to raise money and came up with “Family Mini Session Weeekend.”

We’re offering 25 minute family sessions at my parents property in Paw Paw, Michigan.   Our photography friends are volunteering their time & talent, local companies are helping us advertise & are donating raffle prizes.  We’re hoping to shoot 40-50 family sessions the weekend of July 28th & 29th.

Set in a field of wildflowers – we’ll have vintage furniture & accessories, raffle prizes, refreshments and a photobooth!   We’re really hoping to make it fun & special, couples & families can get amazing photos for $150 – session and high res cd included.  We want to celebrate family & raise money for adoption at the same time!

This isn’t just for families with kiddos – its a perfect opportunity for couples to get amazing photos.  Celebrate your anniversary!
