They went to the same high school, he was four years older. They both went to college at Michigan State. Beth & Chris have been together for seven years. I met with Beth last fall to talk about wedding photography. When she asked if we could do a winter themed engagement session I was excited. We finally had a beautiful sunny day with snow a few weeks ago. Darby their yellow lab came along and we had a lot of fun doing this rustic themed winter session. Nicole and Danny are getting married next June. We had a wonderful fall day for their engagement session. They brought along their adorable dog Chevy, who was the most well behaved dog I’ve met! We started out atthe W.K. Kellogg Forest and finished up at my Uncle’s Farm with a beautiful 37 Buick and rows and rows of beautiful grape vines ready for the harvest. Nicole & Danny I had an amazing time getting to know you and we can’t wait for your wedding! Here are a few of my favorite images.

I met Mary & Nick in Kalamazoo a few weeks ago for their engagement session. We explored some great spots in downtown and then ended at one of their favorite places Water Street Coffee. I looooove their engagement story!  Nick’s family has farmed for generations so he took Mary to see the biggest tree on the farm where his parents and grandparents have carved their initials in the trunk.  He and Mary carved their initials in that day.   Afterwards Mary turned to look at Nick and he was down on one knee!  Mary & Nick you are so down to earth and fun, we can’t wait for your wedding this November. Dave and I met Melinda & Dustin in Kalamazoo a few weeks ago for their engagement session. We explored some of my favorite spots in downtown and then ended at the the Rave Movie Theatre. One of this couple’s favorite things to do is see movies, and the people at the Rave were gracious enough to let us take over an empty theatre in between shows. It was a great escape into some cool air conditioning after an afternoon in the heat! Melinda and Dustin you are so down to earth and fun, we can’t wait for your wedding this fall. I had a blast with Mandee & Joe a few weeks ago in my hometown of Paw Paw, MI for their engagement session. These two have a great story – Joe is a plumber and Mandee needed some work done on her house. Word around the company Joe works for was that Mandee was cute, so he grabbed the work order. She wasn’t home when he did the job, so he left a note on the receipt with his number just in case she had any questions… Turned out Mandee couldn’t decipher his writing so she called him right away, they met and the rest is history! I had a blast taking them to my favorite places in Paw Paw, showing off their motorcycle hobby & meeting their adorable dog.

Sara & Luke got married this weekend! We did their engagement session a few weeks ago at Kellogg Forrest. Its amazing how well you can get to know a couple interacting with them behind the camera for an hour! Their love is so genuine, we really enjoyed being a part of their wedding day!
