Chet + Jessie Engaged! [Kalamazoo Wedding Photography]

Posted in Couples, Engagement, friends  by Carrie

One of my dearest friends is getting married this November. When she asked if we would do their engagement session I was more than thrilled. We pulled out all the stops on this one, I might have gotten a little carried away – 3 different locations with 4 outfit changes. But, I’m the matron of honor, I’m allowed to get a little carried away in the details:) Thanks for being such great sports Chet & Jessie, I can’t wait to be part of your wedding day!

Here are a few of my favorite images…

Ilse + Curtis [Kalamazoo Engagement Photography]

Posted in Couples, Engagement, portrait  by Carrie

lse & Curtis are a sweet couple getting married at the Nature Center this September. We had a blast exploring the nature center for their engagement session. They were troopers and were great models even with the heat and swarms of mosquitos. Its obvious that they are in love and devoted to one another. They are both graduate students at WMU going for their Phd’s in English Literature. We are so happy to be part of this time of their lives!

Here are a few of my favorite images and a slideshow of the session. Enjoy!

Dustin & Brittney [Kalamazoo Wedding Photographer]

Posted in Uncategorized, Wedding  by Carrie

They met 3 years ago at the Wayside. She gave him her number and a few days later they went on their first date. It was love at first sight:) Dustin and Brittney had a beautiful backyard wedding under a big white tent this June. It was a joy to photograph them as friends and family gathered to celebrate the beginning of their journey as man and wife. Here are my favorite images of the day and a slideshow complete with the song that played during their first dance.

Enjoy!

Duckie the Dachshund

Posted in Pets  by Carrie

Duckie the dachshund was the lucky winner of our Dog Walk raffle drawing for a free session.  Duckie is a two year old dapple short haired miniature dachshund with a great personality & spunk! She was more than willing to follow me around and was a great model:)  Here is a little Dachshund history for you from Pet Web Site:

“Dachshunds were originally bred to be courageous, tough and persistent in order to hunt badgers and also foxes and rabbits. Their small size and short legs enabled them to dig foxes, badgers, and rabbits out of their dens. Dachshunds were originally bred in Germany for hunting badgers and the name, Dachshund, means “Badger Dog”. Dachshunds were originally larger than seen today but were bred to be smaller towards the end of the 19th century.”

“The Dachshund is clever, fearless, lively, persistent and affectionate forming a strong bond with its family.”

I couldn’t agree more!  Here are a few of my favorite images from the session and a slideshow of them all.  Enjoy!
